2014 — The Beginning

A Camera, A Dream & Each Other

It started with a single DSLR camera and a modest studio setup in Erode Vaniputhur. Balakrishnan and his wife Maheshwari — childhood sweethearts turned business partners — began OBM Studio with ₹40,000 in savings, a determination to capture love stories the way they felt them, and a promise to every client: we will treat your day like it's our own.

2016–2019 — The Grind

Price + Quality = Trust

Where others compromised on one, OBM never did. Honest pricing and unmatched image quality became their twin pillars. Families referred friends. Friends referred families. Without a single paid ad, the studio grew from 50 events a year to over 300. Balakrishnan spent nights learning cinematography; Maheshwari mastered album design and client relationships. Together, they were unstoppable.

2020–2022 — Leveling Up

Drone. LED Wall. Cinema.

Even during the pandemic years, the duo reinvested everything back into the studio. A 4K drone rig, a high-definition LED wall stage system, cinema-grade cameras — each upgrade was a commitment to deliver experiences that other studios simply couldn't match. OBM went from photographers to full-scale event cinema producers.

Today, OBM Studio is recognised as one of the finest photography and production houses in the region — with awards, a full creative crew, and a digital platform where clients can privately view and select their photos. But for Balakrishnan and Maheshwari, the mission has never changed: deliver exceptional memories to every family they serve, at a price that respects them.
